香港限定で展開された、明治のプレミアムチョコレート「meiji THE Chocolate」と、奥羽自慢株式会社の日本酒「吾有事 純米大吟醸 雲の上」によるコラボレーションプロモーション映像にて、三味線演奏を担当いたしました。
本編映像では、それぞれのブランドが持つ“こだわりの味づくり”と“美意識”を、映像と音楽で融合させることがテーマとなっています。
今回のコラボレーションの一翼を担う日本酒「吾有事（わがうじ）」は、道元禅師の言葉に由来します。
吾有事を表現する様々な方法の中で、日本の伝統芸能の一つである三味線の音が選ばれ、その思想が込められた曲を演奏させていただきました。

【Collaboration Project】
I had the honor of performing shamisen for a promotional film created exclusively for Hong Kong, featuring a collaboration between Meiji’s premium chocolate brand “meiji THE Chocolate” and “Wagauji Junmai Daiginjo Kumo no Ue” by Ou Jiman Co., Ltd.
The concept of the film was to fuse, through visuals and music, the dedication to craftsmanship and aesthetic sensibilities embodied by each brand.
The sake “Wagauji”, which forms a central part of this collaboration, takes its name from the teachings of Zen master Dōgen.
Among the many possible ways of expressing the philosophy behind Wagauji, the sound of the shamisen—one of Japan’s traditional performing arts—was chosen, and I had the privilege of performing a piece infused with that spirit and philosophy.

単に演奏を収録するのではなく、ブランドが持つ思想やストーリーを汲み取り、音として再構築すること。
今回のプロジェクトは、「音が世界観を完成させる一要素である」ことを改めて実感する機会となりました。
このような映像作品やプロモーションにおいて、日本の伝統音楽を現代的な文脈で活かした表現をご提案しております。
音で、伝えきれない価値を届けるために。
映像や空間において、最後に“印象として残るもの”は、音であることが少なくありません。
言葉では説明しきれないニュアンスや、ブランドが大切にしている空気感、余韻。
そういったものを、三味線という日本の伝統音楽で、現代の表現として丁寧に編み上げていくことを大切にしています。
