東京生まれ。青山学院大学文学部英米文学科卒。
大学卒業後、三味線と出会い、重要無形文化財、総合認定の常磐津齋蔵に師事。
常磐津協会正会員（常磐津節のプロの三味線演奏者）

伝統的な三味線音楽を現代に会う形で提供している。
また、常磐津節以外の三味線曲については、別ブランドの名前で演奏しています。

お座敷三味線は、満月櫻。
カジュアルな三味線曲につきましては、三味線さくらとして演奏しています。



Born in Tokyo. Graduated from the Department of English and American Literature, Faculty of Letters, Aoyama Gakuin University.

After completing her studies, she encountered the shamisen and devoted herself to its discipline under Tokiwazu Saizō, a distinguished master recognized as a holder of Important Intangible Cultural Property (General Designation).

She is a full member of the Tokiwazu Association and a professional shamisen performer of Tokiwazu-bushi, a classical narrative music tradition of Japan.

With deep respect for tradition, she presents classical shamisen music in forms that resonate with contemporary audiences, both in Japan and internationally.
In addition to her work in Tokiwazu-bushi, she also performs a wide range of shamisen repertoire under a separate artistic identity.

Her ozashiki-style performances are presented under the name “Mangetsu Sakura,” embodying the refined elegance of traditional Japanese entertainment.
For more casual and accessible shamisen music, she performs as “Shamisen Sakura,” offering a lighter and more contemporary expression of the instrument.
